MEET MADISON SMITH!
Hi there!
I’m Madison! I was born and raised right here in Morehead City. I fell in love with cosmetology when I attended “hair camp” at Carteret Community College when I was younger! I loved it so much I attended three summers in a row. Ten years later, I was graduating from Carteret Community College with my cosmetology license.
I’ve always had a passion for expressing myself in an artistic way. I had pictured myself as a hairstylist and a colorist since middle school, so naturally I signed up for the cosmetology program soon after graduating from West Carteret High School. Go Patriots!
I’ve been working in the industry since 2016 and it’s been such a dream! I opened my studio “Bex Hair Studio” in 2022. The name is inspired by my grandmother Rebecca Smith. She worked as a stylist after graduating from Mitchell’s Hair Styling Academy in 1965. She opened her salon “Becky’s Beauty Hut” in my grandfather’s hometown Davis, North Carolina. You can still see her salon right behind the welcome sign!
When I’m not at work, I’m spending time with my handsome pup Nash or out in the boat at Cape Lookout! I specialize in blonding processes such as balayages and baby lights. I love enhancing my clients natural beauty and making them feel beautiful and confident. I’d love to have you at Bex!
